Gozzo 45 - Premiär på båtmässan i Cannes 6-11 sept 2022
The Italian gozzo, the classic motorboat par excellence, is going through a particular moment. In fact, many boatyards are developing new models that are also able to meet the tastes of today’s owners. Now preparing for its debut is the Gozzo 45 by Apreamare. This is a boat that follows the Gozzo 35, the first project in the new course that Apreamare has started.

The 15-metre walkaround market is one of the liveliest and yards are doing their best to come up with solutions that hit the mark. Apreamare, too, wants to have its say with the launch of a 45-footer that will make its official debut at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival 2022. This model was developed by designer Marco Casali of Too Design, Cataldo Aprea and Apreamare’s technical department. The focal point of this project? Livability, both on deck and below deck, to make this gozzo, which measures 14.70 metres overall, unique. It’s certainly not easy to combine the need for space with the lines of a classic boat. Let’s see what this new Gozzo 45 by Apreamare looks like.
ApreamareGozzo 45 – Deck
Apremare promises “impossible” spaces on this 45-footer (particularly below deck), all in full respect of the traditional lines of the Sorrentine gozzo. The layout is that of a classic Mediterranean cruiser. In terms of layout, one of the first highlights is the total absence of steps on deck. This is because, as with the Gozzo 35, this too is designed as a pure walkaround. Among the key points are the stern platform, a double sundeck, a table for up to 8 people in the cockpit and the forward convivial area.
Below deck, the new Gozzo 45 has two cabins, a dinette and two heads.
The owner can opt for a layout with three cabins and two heads.
In both versions, the design promises an important continuity between exterior and interior in terms of airiness and brightness of the interiors.
ApreamareGozzo 45 – Performance
For this project too, Apreamare relied on the experience of Umberto Tagliavini of Marine Design. Special focus is on both performance and seawortiness, also in terms of stability (at anchor and under way). We’re talking about a variable-geometry hull with a deep V adapted both to the classic shaft line and to Volvo Penta’s IPS propulsion system. The top speed with the most powerful engine is 33 knots (medium load). The range is also considerable with 350 miles available at cruising speed with IPS thanks to a 1,600-litre fuel tank.
